Weekly Saxophone & Jazz Ensembles
SaxWorld & JazzWorld - we are HOME for ALL aspiring Saxophonists & Jazz Musicians (of all ages & abilities).
We meet every Saturday (9.00 am to 1.00 pm) during School term times.
We have three Ensembles:
- Junior Saxology (Gr 1-5) 9.00 - 10.00 am
- Saxology (Gr 5+) 10.15 - 11.15 am
- Jazzology - Jazz ensemble (Gr 5+) 11.30 am - 12.30 pm
- Junior Jazzology - Jazz ensemble (Gr 1-5) COMING SOON!
FOR OUR ’JAZZOLOGY’ ENSEMBLE WE ESPECIALLY WELCOME BRASS PLAYERS (Trumpets & Trombones)
THERE ARE ALSO OPENINGS FOR A GUITARIST & MORE SINGERS
(Singing with a Jazz Band is such a GREAT opportunity - don’t miss out!)

CONCERT EVENTS FOR THIS TERM
Jazz Nite’ at ‘Black Swan Theatre’ on Monday 27th October (6.00 – 9.00 pm)
This will be our first ever ‘Jazz Nite’ event and will feature Junior Saxology, Saxology, (some) Soloists & Jazzology – who will play 2 x 45-minute sets!

Tickets have now been released to the public (and so best to book very soon!).
Audience capacity in the Theatre will be 100 approx’. We are hoping to set up a live stream into the pub & restaurant, so that folks can eat & drink with our excellent music as an accompaniment.

Our ‘Winter Concert’: will take place at ‘St Anne’s Crossroads Church’ on Saturday 6th December (6.00 – 9.00 pm). This event will feature Junior Saxology & Saxology ensembles & Soloists.
There will be two sets of wonderful music from our two Saxophone ensembles and gifted soloists, with a fabulous shared buffet during our Interval. This will give you opportunity to enjoy food and share conversation as well as enjoy this evening of beautiful music.
You will notice that this event is not entitled ‘Christmas’ Concert, as I think that we should offer a mix of pieces and songs, and not just seasonal offerings. You will be sufficiently saturated with the sound of Christmas, I am sure…
Jazzology will take a well-deserved rest, following their two amazing performances at the ‘Jazz Nite’ event.
So, do come along and enjoy the music. Tickets will be available on the door.
